Basic First Aid Certification
Mastering diagnosis, securing prognosis: the first step toward interstellar medical excellence
Welcome to the first cycle of our medical faculty. Space is an unforgiving environment where the line between life and death is often a matter of seconds. Whether it is a sudden decompression, a ballistic trauma during ground operations, or a concussion in the midst of space combat, the first responder must act with methodology, precision, and composure. This initial level course requires no prerequisites. It has been structured to teach you how to observe, diagnose, and treat. You will study injury severity, the careful balance of chemical risk management, expert handling of the ParaMed device, as well as secure movement protocols for completely incapacitated patients. Finally, an introduction to logistics will enable you to understand and select the hospital infrastructure or transport vector adapted to the medical situation. Your academic journey begins here. Study the modules, master the concepts, and prepare for the certification examination.
Skills acquired
- Immediate clinical assessment: Instantly identify the severity level of a polytrauma (Levels 3, 2, 1) and localize functional impairments (arms, torso, legs, head).
- Emergency pharmacodynamics: Select and administer the appropriate biochemical substance (Hemozal, Demexatrine, Sterogene, Roxaphen, Resurgera, Canoiodide) via standard injectors.
- Advanced imaging and treatment: Configure and operate the ParaMed device in manual and advanced modes (green scan) for localized interventions.
- Medical orientation and logistics: Master the hospital infrastructure network and select the appropriate evacuation vector (from the C8r Rescue to Apollo T1 beds) based on the required respawn radius.
Prerequisites
- Academic: No prior background in space medicine or biology is required for this undergraduate curriculum. The program is designed for beginners.
- Technical: Fundamental knowledge of the user interface (HUD) and basic controls.
