Module content
Now that you know all about the different types of injuries, let’s see where you can get treated. Medical facilities are scattered throughout the universe, from bustling metropolises to the most modest space stations. Some ships even have their own medical units on board. If you’re visiting a public medical center rather than a ship, be sure to check in on-site using the dedicated console (which works similarly to an ASOP terminal). Here’s an overview of the three categories of facilities and the services they offer.
Hospitals and Clinics
All of the main landing zones have hospitals, clinics, or Level 1 medical facilities. These facilities can stabilize patients, treat any type of injury, and even resuscitate patients in critical condition.
Medbay
Some large ships, such as the Carrack, the 890 Jump, or the Polaris, feature a Level 2 infirmary. This infirmary allows you to stabilize a patient, treat minor to moderate injuries, and perform resuscitation. However, in order to respawn there after death, your ship must be in the immediate vicinity (within 50 km).
Ambulances
Medical ships, such as the Cutlass Red, are equipped with Level 3 medical facilities that function as ambulances. They can stabilize patients, treat minor injuries, and perform resuscitation. However, to benefit from the on-board respawn feature, the vehicle must be within very close range (20 km maximum).
Reminder: Bed Capacities (Respawn and Healing)
- Level T3: Minor injuries. Respawn radius: 50 km.
- Level T2: Moderate injuries. Respawn radius of 8,000 km (global scale).
- Level T1: Severe injuries. Respawn radius: 750,000,000 km (system scale).
Recommended Medical Fleet
- Rapid Response: C8r Rescue (compact taxi) or URSA Medivac (ground-based, fits in T4-5 ships).
- Ambulances: Cutlass Red (2-bed T3 + cargo compartment for MedGel).
- Medical Fortress: Terrapin Medic (T2 Bed, ideal for high-risk operations).
- Flying Hospital: Apollo Medivac/Triage (Modular; the only purely medical vessel equipped with T1 beds).
- Ships with Medbay: Carrack (T2), 890 Jump (T2), Polaris (4xT2), and the Idriss (1x T2 + 4xT3).
