Medical Beds and Treatments

Module content

Once your injuries have been identified and the right medical center located, head to the medical bed. You can find them just about everywhere: aboard certain spacecraft, in space stations, or within urban hospitals. If it’s a public facility, be sure to check in at the dedicated console (it works just like an ASOP terminal). In the event of a serious injury that limits your mobility, a faster alternative is available in every public hangar. A first responder can transport the patient to these emergency drop-off points—ideally on a stretcher to save time—and then send the elevator directly to the medical ward. No matter which method you use, getting to a bed remains your top priority!

Get Your Assessment

Once you are settled into the medical bed, a menu with up to three options appears (the third option is reserved for ship owners who wish to remove a player from their medical unit). The first option provides a comprehensive assessment of your condition: it includes details of your injuries as well as recommended treatments.

To start treatment, open the “Treatment” tab and select the injuries you want to treat. In just a few seconds, your injuries will disappear and your health will return to maximum. It’s a breeze! Keep in mind that you must be conscious to perform these actions. If you’re unconscious during your transfer to the hospital or clinic, the facility will automatically take care of you—you’ll wake up feeling refreshed and ready to go.

Medgel

MedGel is the central resource for medical gameplay: it powers both the Multi-Tool’s first-aid treatments and the medical beds used for resuscitation. It is strongly recommended that you keep light refills on your person and store your strategic reserves in the trunk of your medical vehicle. For the Multi-Tool and the Curelife device, reloading works just like with a standard handgun. For medical beds, simply insert a full cartridge into the designated port to replenish the device. On some models, these ports are built directly into the adjacent walls rather than on the bed itself. Empty cartridges are fully consumed by the system, making it unnecessary to remove them beforehand. MedGel capacity by bed level:

  • Level 3 (T3) beds: 200 cSCU
  • Level 2 (T2) beds: 400 cSCU
  • Level 1 (T1) beds: 600 cSCU

As mentioned earlier, you can store additional supplies of MedGel in your ships' standard cargo racks and storage compartments

Treating Injuries with a Medical Bed

Each medical bed helps restore your health and stop bleeding at no cost. However, treating injuries consumes MedGel. The cost in resources depends on the severity of the injuries. Good news: the fee is a flat rate and is based solely on the most critical injury, regardless of how many injuries are treated at once. Additionally, temporary stabilization of injuries that exceed the bed’s maximum capacity remains completely free.

Impression and Regeneration on a Medical Bed

Regeneration is a medical process that allows your body to be recreated exactly as it was after death, using your stored DNA profile. By default, your respawn point is located at the hospital in your primary residence, which you selected when you first logged into the Verse. As you travel, you can transfer this profile to another hospital, a clinic, or any ship or vehicle equipped with a medical bed powered by MedGel. Causes of Regeneration Failure If your DNA-imprint medical bed no longer meets the required conditions, regeneration will fail and you will be redirected to your primary residence. This occurs in three cases

  • The hospital bed was destroyed.
  • The bed's supply of MedGel has run out.
  • The bed is out of effective range.
