Refining, Repairs, and Resale
Salvage items are processed through direct sale or by refining construction materials at the L1, Checkmate, Orbituary, Ruin Station, or Levski stations, after being unloaded via a cargo elevator. Processing parameters range from light materials (Rubble, fast but low yield) to heavy materials (Salvage, slow but high yield). At the same time, RMC can be reused via an SRT tool to perform hull and component repairs in the field, although a complete overhaul requires a service hangar. Finally, commodities are sold at TDD terminals, at disposal sites, or at Grim HEX while monitoring market prices.
Module content
Once the materials have been harvested and packaged in SCU containers or cartridges, the final step is to put these resources to good use: either through direct resale or after refining, or by reusing them to keep your ships operational.
The Refining Process
Construction materials derived from structural salvage must be processed at a refinery before they can be sold.
- Refinery Locations: The facilities are located at all L1 stations in the system, as well as at specific stations equipped with XL hangars, such as Checkmate, Orbituary, Ruin Station, and Levski.
- Deposit Procedure: Before starting a refining job, you must unload your materials via the freight elevator into the station's inventory.
- Variations depending on the source material: Density, processing time, and yield depend directly on the type of vessel used to extract the material

| Source of the material | Fragment Type | Density | Processing time | Yield after refining |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Light Ships | Rubble | The highest | The Fastest | The lowest |
| Medium-sized ships | Parts | Average | Medium | Medium |
| Heavy Ships | Rescue | The lowest | The slowest | The highest |
Field Repairs (Fix It Features)
The collected RMC is not used solely as a commodity; it serves as the basic material for emergency repairs.
- Required equipment: A hand tool (Multi-Tool equipped with the SRT adapter or the standalone Cambio SRT tool) combined with a cartridge filled with RMC.
- Procedure: Select the tool, point to the damaged area of the hull or component, and then right-click to apply the material.
- Technical limitations: Manual application of RMC can significantly repair the hull and components to keep the ship operational (a key role in the Engineering gameplay), but it cannot fully restore a ship. A complete 100% restoration requires a visit to a landing platform or a hangar that offers paid repair services.

Marketing and Retail Locations
To convert your cargo into credits (aUEC), head to the appropriate sales terminals:
- Main sales locations: The TDD (Trade and Development Division) terminals in major landing zones, scrapyards, and Grim HEX.
- Market Precautions: Not all kiosks purchase RMC or construction materials. Be sure to check market prices to avoid unfavorable rates.
